Sustainability
Continuous commitment to environmental respect
Nidi has devoted constant attention to reducing the environmental footprint of products and production cycles. This sustainability-focused strategy aims to make an essential contribution to the future. Ethical and responsible production management not only safeguards resources, but also generates lasting value that benefits every stakeholder: from employees to suppliers to the end customer.
Ethics is one of the company’s founding pillars, which is embodied in low environmental impact choices and actions to protect the safety and health of all those involved in the supply chain.

Our core principle is Made in Italy
At Nidi, we believe that the professionalism, quality, and know-how of Italian companies committed to Made in Italy excellence make the difference in an increasingly globalised market.
This is why 90% of our suppliers are Italian, and 45% of them are situated within the province of Treviso, strengthening our strong connection with the territory.
Safe and sustainable materials
Sustainable development and nature conservation are among the challenges in which Nidi firmly believes. For this reason, the company only uses eco-friendly panels for its furniture. These materials are made from 100% recycled wood, using a highly technological process that avoids the felling of trees. Product quality also translates into safeguarding consumer health: for our panels, we use only non-toxic materials, with near-zero formaldehyde emissions and compliant with the strict European regulations (Class E1, UNI EN 13986).
To constantly improve the safeguarding of the environment, Nidi has chosen to use FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) certified materials for its components made of wood and derivatives. This certification guarantees that the raw material comes from responsibly managed forests according to environmental, social and economic standards. Protecting forests means preserving the environment in which we live for future generations. To check whether the product you are interested in is FSC® certified (Licence FSC-C191791), please write to info@nidi.it.
People: driving heart of the company
Nidi places the workers’ well-being and health at the centre of its strategy, investing in flexible working policies and adopting high safety standards that not only protect the employees but also enhance their satisfaction and efficiency.
In addition to ensuring safety in the workplace, we strengthen economic support through an annual performance bonus. Employees can allocate this bonus to supplementary pension or welfare services, with an additional contribution from the company, offering concrete help to families.
Much attention is given to the new generations, awarding scholarships to deserving children of employees and celebrating success within the company to strengthen identity and a sense of belonging. Furthermore, Nidi manages the time bank in an ethical manner, allowing employees to transfer accumulated hours to colleagues in need, with a 20% increase to be borne by the company itself.
Among the prominent initiatives aimed at employee well-being is the “Listening Point”, a psychological support programme, and a project of generational relay, aimed at supporting workers near retirement by reducing their working hours and accompanying them with new resources, ensuring operational continuity. Finally, Nidi regularly hosts students in a school-to-work programme and university internships, actively integrating young talents into the corporate environment.
Commitment to the local community and social inclusion
The company has strong ties with the local community. In addition to generating jobs and supporting education with scholarships, we promote an active lifestyle through sports partnerships.
Over time, our vision of “community” has evolved, actively embracing inclusivity. We enthusiastically support ATL-Etica, an amateur sports club from Treviso that was among the first to be recognised as a Social Enterprise (registered with RUNTS). This qualification enables it to access crucial funds and tools to promote the right to sport for everyone, regardless of age or economic status.
Through this sponsorship, we directly contribute to ATL-Etica’s projects aimed at promoting a sustainable, inclusive sporting culture focused on collective well-being. Such initiatives offer valuable opportunities for personal and professional development, even for young people in fragile conditions or with disabilities. This collaboration cements the relationship between the company and its territory, emphasising the role of sport as a powerful vehicle for social inclusion.
Nidi and social commitment
Nidi is a brand dedicated to the world of children and teenagers, those who represent the future. Welcome, inclusivity and sharing are fundamental values in which Nidi believes, and which lead it to support foundations and organisations that strive to create an increasingly attentive and collaborative society, especially towards those who need more care. For this reason, it supports the Fondazione bambini delle fate, a social enterprise which, since 2005, has been dedicated to securing economic support for social inclusion projects and paths, managed by local partners to benefit families with
members who have autism and other disabilities.
Nidi supports the foundation by contributing to the implementation of projects in the territory of the province of Treviso. Another initiative that Nidi is proud to support is TOG, Together to Go, a non-profit organisation founded in 2011 in Milan that offers high-level rehabilitation programmes and personalised therapies to children and teenagers with brain injuries and genetic syndromes. Nidi has supported TOG in the construction of the new centre of excellence for childhood disabilities and vulnerabilities, contributing to furnishing the spaces dedicated to the training of children.
Transparency and clear guidelines: sustainability report and code of ethics
For Nidi, publishing the Sustainability Report was a key strategic decision that goes beyond mere legal requirement. This document is a powerful tool to consolidate corporate reputation, offering concrete proof of commitment to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues.
This transparency boosted the trust of customers, investors, and employees, creating a competitive advantage and opening access to new markets, particularly among buyers sensitive to ethical values. Internally, reporting allows Nidi to analyse and refine processes, optimising efficiency and containing costs. Moreover, this focus on sustainability is a vital element in attracting and retaining talent, as professionals, especially younger ones, seek out companies in line with their values.
In order to always act with the highest level of transparency, the company has also formalised the Code of Ethics. This document defines the principles, values and rules of conduct that must guide the actions of all those who work for Nidi: employees, managers, collaborators and, sometimes, even suppliers and partners.
It is, essentially, an explicit declaration of the moral and professional standards that the company is committed to honour. For Nidi, the publication of the Code of Ethics represents a fundamental step that elevates internal ideals to a public and measurable commitment, strengthening corporate credibility and responsibility.
